Where would you rather be during quarantine?

I would like to be able to travel to see my family in Portugal

What were you curious about today?

Learning more techniques

What conversations did you have today?

About my future, about music...

What did you learn today?

How to do a kickflip on the skateboard hahaha

What is the weirdest meal you’ve had during quarantine?

My meals have been quite normal actually, I really like to cook and I try to cook mostly vegan meals.

How would you describe yourself as a creative?

I love fashion and conceptual art. I’m still trying to find my own voice but I think it’s normal and it takes time, for this reason I like to try a lot of different things. But I can tell that my work is timeless and I like to play with shapes and time. I get inspiration from my dreams normally.

How are you currently feeling about the global pause?

Sometimes i feel inspired sometimes i feel bored

How has the current situation affected your productivity?

Actually I think it has made me work even harder because I need to distract my head. So it’s improved my productivity of trying to learn, work...

Long term, how do you think this will affect the industry?

I think we will all try to make our best to fight the current situation. If we focus and do what we love I know we'll make it easier then everyone is thinking.

What are you doing daily to maintain your focus and energy, to continue to create?

I try to distract myself by reading, going for bike rides, learning skateboarding, playing guitar, piano, bass…, planning shots for when this is finished.

How are you reframing your social interactions?

Skype calls, messages,...

Can you please explain your work situation; either work that you’re currently creating, or work that has been affected by COVID-19?

With the current situation we can’t shoot like we used to. I have one book from Peter Lindbergh where he did a portrait of a model via Skype so I decided to do the same, so I have been doing some shoots like that. I have been shooting still life as well and learning some graphic design.

My work during quarantine is being inspired by the fact of constantly being behind a screen and not being able to see - for example - our family. Inspired by anxiety about when we will be able to leave the house again ...

What don’t you miss about pre-Corona life?

HMMM, I think I don’t miss the stress and always being in a rush. We need to enjoy our life.

What’s the most inspiring / creative response to COVID-19 you have come across so far?

I think families got more close

Looking back, what will you miss about quarantine?

Nothing hahah I'm sick of it
